Fast. Loose. Glides. Paddles. Holds. Magic board.
The Hogfish has been a best-seller for about 20 years. I guess that makes it a classic! Why do people like it so much? It's because it's really three boards in one; a fish, an all around shortboard, and a step-up. "How can that be", you ask? It's simple; it's short and wide with lots of glide like a fish; when you step behind the wing with your back foot, it's fast, snappy and loose off the tail like your favorite shortboard; and with all the volume, it paddles great into meaty waves, and has a straight rail line that enables you to make any section and hold a line through huge carves. It just needs a bigger fin when used as a step-up. Many people like it as a quad too.
