Richie Schmidt wanted a shortboard that he could tackle some slabs on, so this board was born and dubbed the "Slabslayer". Its rocker is like the Magic Carpet, but with a lower entry. The thickness flow is a good bit fuller under the chest relative to the tail, as compared to a regular board (for easy wave entry when you really need it). Concaves are somewhat shallow for seamless rail to rail transitions. It turned out to be a great all-around board that can be ridden in a wide range of conditions, but is best described as a contemporary step-up. Round tail only for tight turns. Testing
